Plumbing Services
Everyday plumbing repairs from the engineer who already deals with your drains.
Last updated
In short: Network Drains carries out general plumbing repairs: leaking waste pipes and traps, dripping taps, toilets that run or won't flush, faulty cistern valves, low pressure at a single outlet and appliance connections. Plumbing jobs can be booked on their own or done alongside a drainage visit. Gas work and full bathroom installations aren't covered.
Plumbing and drainage meet under every sink and behind every toilet, so plenty of jobs are part of both. A leak from a waste trap, a toilet that rocks and weeps at the base, or a washing machine hose that's come loose from the waste pipe: it makes sense for one person to sort them.
Plumbing jobs we take on
- Leaking waste pipes, traps and joints under sinks, baths and basins
- Dripping and loose taps, and replacement taps
- Toilets that keep running, won't flush properly or leak at the base
- Cistern fill valves and flush valves
- Low water pressure at one tap or shower
- Washing machine and dishwasher waste and supply connections
- Outside taps
What we don't do
We don't do gas work, boiler installation or servicing, or full bathroom and kitchen installations. For those you need a Gas Safe registered engineer or a fitter, and we're happy to point you towards someone reliable.
Fixing the cause, not just the drip
A leak under a sink is sometimes a worn washer, and sometimes a waste pipe that's backing up because the drain beyond is partly blocked, which pushes water out of every joint. We check which, so you're not paying to replace a seal that will start leaking again next week. If the problem is a blockage, see blocked kitchen sinks or blocked baths and showers.
Small leaks are worth fixing early
A running toilet can waste a large amount of water every day, which adds up on a metered supply. A slow leak under a sink or behind a bath panel can rot a floor or cupboard and bring mould with it long before you notice. Most of these are quick fixes if they're caught early.
Questions people ask
Can I book a plumbing job without a drainage problem?
Yes. Plumbing callouts don't have to be linked to a drainage job.
My toilet keeps running. Is that a big job?
Usually not. It's normally a worn flush valve seal or a fill valve that doesn't shut off, both of which can be replaced in a single visit.
Do you fix leaks that are inside walls or under floors?
We can trace and repair leaks on accessible pipework. Where pipes are buried in walls or under solid floors, we'll explain what's involved before opening anything up.
