# Network Drains > Network Drains is a Liverpool-founded drainage company covering 20 UK cities and Cumbria: Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Cumbria, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, Sheffield. It clears blocked drains, toilets, sinks, baths and showers, and provides drain jetting, CCTV drain surveys, drain repairs, commercial drainage, emergency drainage callouts and plumbing, 24 hours a day. Phone or WhatsApp: 07455 859451 (+44 7455 859451). Key facts: - You speak directly to the engineer who attends, not a call centre. - Calls are taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including emergencies. - The likely cost is discussed before attending; pricing depends on the job (price range ££). - Every van carries rods, high-pressure jetting equipment and a CCTV drain camera, so most blockages are found and cleared in one visit. - Since the October 2011 private sewer transfer, many shared drains in England and Wales belong to the local water company (for example United Utilities in the North West, Thames Water in London, Severn Trent in the Midlands). Network Drains checks where a blockage is and says honestly when it is the water company's responsibility. The transfer did not apply in Scotland or Northern Ireland, where a drain shared between properties is usually the joint responsibility of the owners it serves. - Coverage: 21 city and county hubs and 421 local areas (see Areas). ## Services - [Blocked Drains](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/blocked-drains.html): A blocked drain is almost always one of four things: fat and food waste, wipes and sanitary items, tree roots, or a pipe that has cracked or sunk. Rods or a high-pressure jetter clear most of them in one visit, and a camera finds the cause when a drain keeps blocking. Network Drains provides 24 hour drain unblocking, and you speak to the engineer directly. - [Blocked Outside Drains](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/blocked-outside-drains.html): Outside drains block when leaves, silt, fat, wipes or tree roots collect in a gully, a manhole chamber or the underground pipe between them. Clearing them rarely means digging: rods and high-pressure jetting reach the blockage from the nearest manhole. If an outside drain is shared with neighbours, the water company may be responsible rather than you. - [Blocked Toilets](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/blocked-toilets.html): A single blocked toilet is normally a blockage in the pan or the bend just behind it, caused by too much paper, wipes or something dropped in. A plunger often clears it. If the toilet keeps blocking, or other fittings gurgle when you flush, the problem is further down the soil pipe or drain and needs clearing properly. - [Blocked Kitchen Sinks](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/blocked-kitchen-sinks.html): Kitchen sinks block because fat, oil and food scraps go down warm, then cool and stick to the inside of the waste pipe until it closes up. Cleaning the trap under the sink fixes many blockages. If the water still won't go, the blockage is further along the waste pipe or in the outside gully and needs rodding or jetting. - [Blocked Baths & Showers](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/blocked-baths-showers.html): Baths and showers block when hair binds with soap residue and limescale inside the trap and waste pipe. Pulling hair from the plughole and cleaning the trap clears most of them. If the bath empties slowly even when the trap is clean, or other fittings are slow too, the blockage is further down and needs clearing with the right tools. - [Emergency Drainage](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/emergency-drainage.html): A drainage emergency is sewage or waste water backing up inside a building, a drain flooding next to the house, or a blockage that means you can't use the toilet. Stop using water, keep people away from contaminated water and call. Network Drains takes emergency calls 24 hours and puts them ahead of routine bookings. - [Drain Jetting](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/drain-jetting.html): Drain jetting sends water at high pressure through a hose and a specialist nozzle that drives itself along the pipe, cutting through blockages and scouring grease, scale, silt and fine roots off the pipe walls. It cleans the full width of the drain, so it suits stubborn and recurring blockages and planned drain cleaning. Pressure is set to suit the pipe. - [CCTV Drain Surveys](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/cctv-drain-surveys.html): A CCTV drain survey puts a waterproof camera through your drains to record their condition: cracks, root ingress, displaced joints, collapses, sagging sections and blockages. It's used to find why a drain keeps blocking, to check drains before buying a property, and to support insurance claims or settle who is responsible. A written report with footage is available on request. - [Drain Repairs](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/drain-repairs.html): Most drain damage, such as cracks, open joints and root ingress, can be repaired from inside the pipe using no-dig patch lining or full relining, without digging up the garden or driveway. Collapsed or badly misaligned pipes usually need excavating and replacing. A CCTV survey decides which, and shows exactly where the repair is needed. - [Commercial Drainage](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/commercial-drainage.html): For a business, a blocked drain can mean closing a kitchen, losing a day's trade or failing an inspection. Network Drains provides emergency callouts for commercial premises, plus planned maintenance (jetting, CCTV inspections and grease trap advice) that catches problems before they stop work. Work can be timed around trading hours. - [Plumbing Services](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/plumbing-services.html): Network Drains carries out general plumbing repairs: leaking waste pipes and traps, dripping taps, toilets that run or won't flush, faulty cistern valves, low pressure at a single outlet and appliance connections. Plumbing jobs can be booked on their own or done alongside a drainage visit. Gas work and full bathroom installations aren't covered. ## Areas - [Drainage services in Liverpool](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/areas/liverpool.html): Network Drains started in Liverpool and it's still where most of our work happens — from Victorian terraces near the city centre to the larger houses further south. It depends on the job — a simple internal blockage costs less than an outside drain run needing jetting. We always talk you through the likely cost before attending, not after. - Is my blocked drain my responsibility, or the water company's? It depends where the blockage is. In England and Wales, many shared drains transferred to the local water company in 2011 — we'll check and tell you honestly which applies. See our full guide. - How quickly can you get to me? We prioritise genuine emergencies and give you a realistic timeframe on the phone rather than a vague promise. - Do you cover my area? We're growing city by city — see our areas we cover page for exactly where, and if you're just outside it, call anyway. - My drain keeps blocking in the same place — why? Usually root intrusion, a settled pipe, or grease build-up narrowing the pipe. A CCTV survey shows exactly which, rather than guessing. ## Optional - [Full index](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/llms-full.txt): every local service page and all 421 local areas with postcodes - [About Network Drains](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/about.html) - [Contact](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/contact.html): call or WhatsApp 07455 859451 - [Reviews](https://www.networkdrains.co.uk/reviews.html)
